Summer memories from Versailles…

Summer memories from Versailles…

I’ve been super absent from my blog this summer, and for that I apologize! I’ve been making new friends and raising all sorts of hell, and we aren’t even at labor day yet!

Today the Museum of Science in Boston announced the fall line up for adult evening events and I can’t help but think some of these would be amazing date ideas. One of my favorite hotels in the area happens to be right around the corner from the museum so of course my mind is reeling with possibilities!

First up on August 22, is an animated audio play of the tale of Medusa with music from the cabaret band What Time is it, Mr Fox? I love myths and tales, particularly those from antiquity so this sounds like  fun experience.

On August 29, the museum hosts a drag night which apparently is a recurring event. Some of you know of my love of drag and ALL of you know of my love for the dramatic, camp, and glamour so for something out of the box with a few drinks I think this would be a precursor to a fun night of unconventional tastes.

September 25 brings a fantastic documentary about one of my favorite artists and truly a darling of the fashion and contemporary art world, Yayoi Kusama. This a presentation in collaboration with the Japan Society of Boston,

In October a symposium on animal behavior and cognition with the incomparable Isabella Rosellini who has always had a soft spot for the habits and behaviors of animals as seen in her book My Chickens and I.  This will be at the MoS on October 10

Lastly is a Stevie Nicks tribute in the planetarium headlined by local favorite Niki Luparelli on November 7. If you haven’t been to one of Niki’s tribute acts or even one of her regular parties at the Bull Mansion in Worcester you are missing out. No one can entertain like Niki and combined with the visuals of the planetarium, I can’t imagine this being anything else but memorable!

So let’s do this. <3
